Currently Calando Pharmaceuticals and Insert Therapeutics are pursuing a merger to combine the RNAi therapeutics pipeline of Calando Pharmaceuticals with Insert Therapeutics’ pipeline of delivery-enhanced small molecule pharmaceuticals.  The combined company, Calando Pharmaceuticals, is focused on developing targeted therapeutics that take advantage of the potential of its patented and proprietary cyclodextrin-based polymer technologies for the development of nanoparticle therapeutics.  Our lead small molecule product candidate, IT-101, entered the clinic in July 2006 and our lead RNAi product candidate, CALAA-01, is targeted to enter the clinic in early 2008.
